I have photographed trains now for almost 40 years and whilst most are in the United Kingdom I have ventured further afield. So most of my photos will be in Southern England both on Network Rail (Mainline) and the Swanage Railway (Preserved). I will also now add some of my other photos.
Dorset continues to see a variety of traffic from a few regular freight trains and the Network Rail test trains through to visiting excursions.
Most of the pictures on the Swanage Railway are from their popular Beer & Diesel Gala's which occur in early May others will be posted.
The popular 3 CIG units used on the Lymington to Brockenhurst local service have a limited future, they were retired on the 22nd May 2010. They will be replaced with modern units from this date. These units were serviced at the carriage sidings in Branksome (Poole).
